DIRECTOR & CLINICAL THERAPIST
Brendan Kearns, LCSW
Brendan is a licensed clinical social worker in California with over 13 years of experience in mental health, spanning clinical and supervisory roles. He offers both virtual and in-person sessions, working with individuals aged 6 to 65, with early specialization in child and adolescent outpatient and inpatient care, and later focusing on adults and families in both private and public sectors.
Brendan supports adolescents and adults in understanding and managing anxiety, OCD, stress, depression, and problematic behaviors. His primary goal is to help clients reduce the distress of mental health challenges and regain a sense of control over their lives. He achieves this by exploring early childhood experiences, attachment needs, and the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors influencing decisions and emotional responses.
Brendan has trained with Dr. Karl Tomm, founder of interpersonal pattern-based family therapy, enriching his approach to family systems therapy. Additionally, Brendan’s diverse interests as a surfer, rock climber, entrepreneur, screenwriter, published novelist, and recording artist inspire his work, particularly in supporting those in the creative arts.
